Mission 965 is the musical collaboration of ChupaWest founders Chris Dasilva (aka Chaka) and Pix.  Their mission: to fuse electronic elements with live instrumentation to create an expansive soundscape. “965” is not just the address of their first recording studio in SF, but also a reference to the “965 State of Mind,” a focused, determined, and almost meditative state that gave rise to the foundations of their musical fusion.

Mission 965’s first two releases are nothing short of high energy: an eponymous instrumental single rooted in breakbeat drumming and growling bass guitar centered under a backdrop of atmospheric electronics, and “Down with the Krewe,” a football-themed hype song to get you fired up for game day.
