The ChupaWest Collective’s “Fisherman Wisherman” shows the band of musical misfits in their most resplendent psychedelic glory. Make no mistake, this song was never rehearsed, was recorded in one take, and never played again. The Candy Kids’ maniacal refrain is the only overdub in an otherwise completely improvisational hootenanny that was recorded in one room. And apparently, the song’s protagonist Fisherman Wisherman was ahead of his time in only wanting a beer with a little ice in it.
