The “Chupa” in ChupaWest Records is short for the “chupacabra,” a mythical creature reportedly seen around the globe. Chupacabras drop in with stealth-like precision, leave a path of destruction, and get out before you know what hit you.
It’s in this spirit that ChupaWest Records aims to leave its own path of sonic destruction by delivering genre-defying music.
R.I.P. Chupa the Bearded Dragon, who lived a long and illustrious life until 2005 with ChupaWest co-founder Chris Dasilva, and served as the original Chupa Records’ mascot.
