The 2026 reboot of Duwang Gang’s “Man-Ga” is complete and out now on all platforms. For those who recall, “Man-Ga” was originally a 6-song ditty released back in 2020 using, oh, how shall we say, “quaint” 1990’s era tech. Jump ahead to 2026, and producer Pix decided it was time to not only remix and remaster the entire project using newfangled 21st Century tools, but to add two new songs to the lineup.

“Grab a Fat Burger” and “Zigford” join the original lineup of songs, with the later entering unchartered territory for the Duwang Gang. “Zigford” is anchored by chunky metal guitars and dub drums, with a serpentine surf guitar, demonic vocals about the Duwang’s dog, actual vocals by that dog, and a (faux) orchestra to top the song off. It’s a new style: Tai Chi Surf Sabbath!

“Grab a Fat Burger” is more in the EDM, 4-to-the -floor camp, but with twists of its own, starting with a real, played-by-a-human bass guitar ala Dark Side Disco, Baby, and a sampled didgeridoo played by another real human in Pix’s studio in the ’90’s.

If that doesn’t get you, there are plenty of other jumping-the-shark moments (shredding guitar on the EDM pop anthem “Burgermeister (rock out mix)”??), so check out Duwang Gang’s “Man-Ga” the next time you’re up for something new and exciting.
